Surrealist fanfare band Molino, pianist Matteo Mijderwijk, neo-classical electronic music duo Perforator, guitarist Bram Stadhouders and indie-classical ensemble Jerboah complete the line-up of Cross-linx 2017. ‘The best indie-classical talent currently in the Netherlands’, according to festival director Frank Veenstra.
Mijderwijk, Perforator and Jerboah can be admired during the renowned Music Mining sessions — the backstage programme that allows visitors an up-close view of the artists. This year, Cross-linx can also be heard off the stage, with performances by Molino and Bram Stadhouders. Molino’s pleasantly jumbled brass sound can for example be heard in the main hall of the Central Station. And Bram Stadhouders will be welcoming visitors at the festival’s entrance, playing Rhapsody, a seven meters mobile barrel organ, using his laptop and guitar.
